August is a breastfeeding month, I want to share my
journey even its too late :-)
I don’t have any pictures taken when I am
breastfeeding my baby by that time but I have a lot of memories and great
experiences while doing it.

Today, my Little
Kulit will be turning 4 on the next two months. Time really flies, I still
remember like it was yesterday when I was still pregnant and about to give
birth. And I am proud to say that I belong to a breastfeeding circle of moms.
When I gave
birth and he put on my chest I know by that I am already a mom and I want his
first milk will be coming from me, since I am still groggy by that time because
of the anesthesia I instructed the nurse that I will nurse him in the recovery
area. After 15 minutes I was already in the recovery area and they gave me my
son, lucky he was able latch properly on my breast and he was able to get the colustrum
which is baby’s first milk. Afterwards he was brought again in the nursery
area.
I must admit
that I am not a full breastfeeding mom; he was in the nursery room for two days
on his third day he was already with me and the nurse instructed me how to
breastfeed properly.
At first I
was hesitant, I am afraid what if he doesn’t like my milk or if I don’t have a
milk and the worse thing in my mind is what if masakit , even my mom told me to hold properly
my baby baka daw mahulog ko if masaktan ko. I have a low tolerance when it
comes to pain.
But God lead
me the way, I was properly breastfeed my baby, I have a lot of milk which I didn’t
expect, I was able to handle the pain
for three days.
When it comes to breastfeeding everything went smooth. It’s
just that when I go out I need to have an extra breast pad, and if we go out
with my baby I have to
make it sure that there is a comfortable breastfeeding station.
And I am
proud to say that I am exclusive breastfeeding mom for 3.5 months and when I
need to go back to the work my break time is to breast pump and for two years
my baby is mixed formula and breastfeed.
Breastfeeding
helps me a lot to be more confident as a mom and my son growing up as healthy
boy.
